Rumoi 10" Japanese Bread Knife パン切りナイフ
The Rumoi 10" Japanese Bread Knife blends traditional craftsmanship with modern steel technology to create a tool of exceptional sharpness and lasting beauty. Designed for the discerning chef or passionate home baker, it slices through everything from crusty artisan loaves to soft brioche with precision and ease.
Premium AUS Stainless Steel
Forged from high-grade AUS stainless steel, the blade offers superb hardness and edge retention for long-term performance. The finely serrated edge glides cleanly through bread without crushing the crumb, while the hammered finish helps reduce drag and keeps each cut smooth.
Mkuruti Wood Handle
The handle is crafted from richly grained Mkuruti wood, prized for its warm tones and natural strength. Its octagonal shape is carefully balanced for a secure, comfortable grip, giving you control and confidence even during long baking sessions.
Effortless Performance and Elegant Design
Perfect weight distribution and professional serration make every slice feel effortless, whether you are preparing breakfast toast or serving guests at a special gathering. The hammered steel pattern catches the light and adds a striking visual touch, turning a practical tool into a centerpiece of your kitchen.

SaleStep 1, Rinse
Warm water and mild soap after each use. Never put your knife in the dishwasher, the harsh detergents and jostling will damage the edge and handle.
Step 2, Dry
Towel dry immediately. Don't leave it wet or in the sink, even stainless steel can develop spots if left damp.
Step 3, Store
Use a knife block, magnetic strip, or blade guard. Never toss it loose in a drawer, it dulls the edge and is a safety hazard.
That's it, no special maintenance, no fussy rituals. Your Shimeru knife is designed for daily use. With these three steps it'll stay razor-sharp for years.
Got this for slicing through proper crusty loaves and it does a cracking job, no squashing the bread at all. The blade's a decent length and glides through sourdough like butter. Only little niggle is I wish the handle was shaped a bit more for me hand, its comfy enough but after a few loaves I notice it a bit. Still, for the price its a solid bit of kit.
Got this for my wife whos the baker in the family and she loves it. Makes neat slices on our homemade crusty loaves without tearing. I do wish the blade was offset a bit more, knuckles sometimes hit the board. Still a solid knife for the price.
Really good bread knife, cuts through sour dough like butter. Only reason it's not 5 stars is the handle feels a bit slippy when wet but thats minor. Would buy again.
got this for me mums birthday, she bakes her own sourdough and her old bread knife was proper rubbish. this one slices through the crustiest loaf like butter, no squashing the bread at all. she rang me up to say its the best present shes had in ages. came in a nice box as well.
Really decent knife for the money. Cuts through dense rye and seeded loaves with no trouble, blade feels well made. Only thing is the handle shape takes a bit of getting used to, it's a touch blockier than I'm used to. Still miles better than my old one though, would buy again.
Bought this a month ago for my sourdough habit and it does the job nicely, goes through crusty loaves without squashing them. The blade is proper sharp and feels well made for the money. Only thing I’d say is for really big boules I wish it were an inch or two longer, but that’s just me being picky. Still a solid buy.
Got this for my husbands birthday and hes been raving about it ever since. We do a lot of homemade bread and it just glides through, even on a proper crusty loaf. The blade's got a nice weight to it, feels quality. Only used it a handful of times but so far, brilliant.
Handle took a bit of getting used to, its chunkier than my old bread knife. But after a few loaves I'm getting the hang of it. Does a tidy job on all sorts, from bloomers to baguettes.
Decent bread knife this, the blade’s spot on for soft crumb and hard crusts. Only thing is the handle’s a bit thicker than I expected, took a couple goes to get used to the grip. Not a dealbreaker though, I’ve got used to it now and it performs nicely. Would still recommend, especially for the price.
Got this for my sourdough baking addiction and honestly it's brilliant. Cuts through a fresh crusty loaf like it’s nothing, doesn’t squash the bread at all. The serrations are proper sharp and the offset handle makes it so much easier than my old straight handled one. Used it every day for about three weeks now and still razor sharp. Well chuffed.
